Montgomery is definitely very high on my list of favorite jazz guitarists.
Kenny Burrell & Grant Green are pretty much tied with him in my mind.

Man, Wes never ceases to amaze me. I know there are probably better guitarists out there, but none that I have heard so far wow me like Mr. Montgomery. PLaying with your thumb is difficult as hell......being amazing with your thumb is almost inhuman. I bow to the master of jazz guitar.......Wes Montgomery.
