Traffic-One Of Special Guest's All Time Faves Traffic_(album)
Traffic, led by the legendary Steve Winwood, were one of the bands that fused straight up pop-rock with a psychedelic tinge and lots of progressive elements. Nobody, I repeat, NOBODY sounded like Traffic did in their prime. They used lots of brass and woodwind instruments on top of catchy jazz-fusion rock songs. They never made a bad album, but I'd recommend "John Barleycorn Must Die", "Mr. Fantasy", and the duo of two of my all time favorite albums, "The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys" and "Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory" for anybody looking to get into them. One of the best and most diverse bands of their time.

Traffic is effing bad ass! I have been a huge fan of Steve Winwood's 60's and 70's musical endeavors but I hated his "Higher Love" bullshit. Shootout At The Fantasy Factory is absolutely brilliant along with the other ones you mentioned, SG. You're right, they never made a bad album.

I've always liked this band but the only album I ever owned was "Low Spark". I need to remedy that sometime soon.

I'm also a huge fan of Blind Faith. Winwood has one of the most incredible voices ever...and the dude plays the hell out of an organ.
