| It's actually a nice looking collection, I'll probably get it for the same reason Shawn mentions above.
They should have left off the title track of Dance Of Death and Bring Your Daughter...I think Childhood's End from FOTD would have been a better choice.

| As much as I usually poo-poo more comp albums from bands, I'm actually interested in this one. Nice song selection. I don't own any of the Blaze-era albums, so hearing Bruce's take on those tunes has my attention. | |

Man those two Blaze albums are actually really good, I could say Virtual IX is one of my favorite Maiden albums, even if that sounds blasphemous.

| Bruce's take on the Blaze songs are rather good but it's an injustice of sorts not to include the Blaze versions. | |

| Those Blaze albums always sounded, to me at least, that Fish(ex-Marillion) had joined Maiden............(There is a Janick Gers connection and Marillion and Maiden were label mates). | |

Hmmm...now that you mention it, I can see that too.

| I much prefer the Bruce versions of those songs. I think Blaze is one of the most boring vocalists of all time.
He sucked in Wolfsbane and was the square peg in the round hole in Iron Maiden.

| I can take or leave Wolfsbane, but I really enjoy Blaze's solo albums. I never owned either of the Maiden discs he was on, but I've heard a few tracks here and there. Lackluster songwriting from 'Arry combined with no-Bruce is enough for me to stay away from them. The last time I saw Maiden live, Bruce was back but they did 1 or 2 tracks from the Blaze-era. I think it's cool that they acknowledge the Blaze-era, unlike allot of bands that choose to ignore past singers (ie Crue w/Corabi, and Priest w/Ripper). | |

Or Ozzy and the Dio-era. Ronnie's performed classic Sabbath tunes, but is there any recorded output of Ozzy attempting to sing ("attempting" is being too generous) anything from Mob Rules or Heaven & Hell?

Well said, it's pretty obvious when you hear them both perform Man On The Edge. Blaze ruins the song, but with Bruce it has the right amount of power. Regardless of that though, I still prefer to own the full Maiden albums and not best ofs.
