So, The Melvins came up a few times on Pandora and I loved it! I don't know what I thought they were like, but it was not what I expected.

So, I ordered Stoner Witch from Ebay yesterday...can't wait!

I like the Melvins but saw them live open for Tool and I was bit disappointed, maybe it was an off night for the band.

I'll probably never get to see them live, but the little bit of music I've heard I think is cool...

I am LOVING Stoner Witch so far...one good spin and I can't wait to spin it again...noisy, aggressive, quirky, ambient at times...very cool.

They are kind of a local-ish band for me. They live in seattle and come to portland all the time. I saw em last summer at the roseland which is already a pretty loud venue but the melvins came across really really heavy. I dig everything they've done from the early punk stuff to present with Biafra.

I'll have to go see these guys if they make it down to this way.

These days I prefer to check out bands I'm not familiar with live, seeing them perform in concert will tell me whether I want to invest in recordings or not.
