My covers album would be called AN EVENING WITH FAT FREDDY.... on the album cover, I would be posed in a tuxedo and holding a dry martini.

Also, this is the best thing.

DeathCult and I have joked about forming a Mentors tribute band so maybe we can cut a Mentors covers album. My stage name would be "El Douche-K," and DC would be "Doctor Heathen Greg." Very Happy

I'm a sucker for '70s ballads so I'm gonna revise an earlier post. Some of these are early '80s.

1. Starglow Energy (Captain Beyond)
2. Nights In White Satin (The Moody Blues)
3. Trouble (Lindsey Buckingham)
4. I Have Waited So Long (Foreigner)
5. The One You Love (Glen Frey)
6. Baby I'm A Want You (Bread)
7. Woman (John Lennon)
8. Harvest Moon (Neil Young)
9. Imaginary Lover (Atlanta Rhythm Section)
10. Kiss You All Over (Exile)
11. Miracles (Jefferson Starship)
12. Fool For You (Rod Stewart)

I'd also do an album of Thin Lizzy ballads.

I'd definitely cover the song "Season In Hell (Fire Suite)".

I feel like this would be one of those 4 AM Time Life infomercial albums

Some good stuff in there. Not sure about that Def Leppard track, but aside from that I dig all those songs. Fall On Me is a great King's X track that few people seem to mention.

Yeah, I grew up listening to the "in" stuff, where I grew up obscure was very obscure and encompassed a lot of great music I'd later discover. Great title for the album Smile I'm revising my "heavy" music list as well.

It is, there is so much going on in that song if people are willing to delve into it.
