| Hell, I just miss Jake E. Lee! He was easily my favorite of the 80's metal/rock guitarists...and the only one that had a real grasp on styles pre-Eddie Van Halen.
I saw Badlands twice (debut tour at Slammers in WV, Voodoo Highway tour at Hammerjacks in Baltimore). They were incredible live! I got to hang out backstage and talk to Jake after the first gig, he was way cool and totally down to earth. Shared stories and passed the pipe around, a good memory.
It's been long enough now for their albums to sound "fresh" again. One of these days I'll have to track down an actual copy of Dusk.

| Yeah man, love me some Badlands. I'd like to hear Jake E. Lee on a project with John Corabi or at least Jake doing something!!! He is easily one of my fave '80s guitarists as well.

| I'm glad "Dusk" are just demos, I love hearing just the bass underneath guitar solos (no overdubbed rhythm guitar). That's how I would record my own stuff as well, the bass is equally as important as the guitar, even though many people don't realize that.

I like that about Dusk as well...and for demos they sound great, IMO. | |

| Very good band indeed. It was a bitch to find the self-titled on CD when my cassette copy crapped out years back. Still lookin' to upgrade VOODOO HIGHWAY one of these damn days.

| I ripped both the debut and VooDoo Highway to the old computer not too long ago and gave them some airtime. Still sound great. While I appreciate his work with Ozzy, Jake really shined on these recordings. And Ray was outstanding as well. How does Dusk compare to the first 2? It's just demos, correct? | |

| It's "professional quality" demos, sounds every bit as good as their other recordings. It's just more live and has very few overdubs.
If you like the other two, there is no reason not to pick up Dusk.
