I agree on Geddy Lee and Chris Squire. (I don't know who Mark King is, though. Razz )

And I totally agree with John Entwistle being on there; although he should be a bit higher. As well as Steve Harris.

My Top 5 would probably be:
Chris Squire
Steve DiGiorgio
Steve Harris
Geezer Butler
John Entwistle

And that's not really in any particular order.

That is a pretty whack list, yeah how the hell does Geezer Butler get left off a best of Bass players list? Master of Reality!! Yeah John Entwistle should have been ranked higher for sure. Rob Trujillo? I don't know not the top 10, even Phil Lynott, love the guy but not one of the top 10 bassists, and really No.1? who the hell is Chris Wolstenholme? I'd have put Rudy Sarzo or Dave Ellefson on the list before some of the other dudes. I don't think Paul Mcartney was all that superb as a bassist either. Just my opinion, but serioulsy no Geezer?

Many of the people on the list deserve to be there, but there are a few really odd choices I think. Trujillo wouldn't make my top 50.

I think the Metallica connection is what has Rob on their list. As far as bassist go I'd have to have:

Phil Lynott, David Ellefson, Roger Waters, Billy Sheehan, Jaco Pastorius, Terrence 'Geezer' Butler, Victor Wooten, John Entwistle, Lemmy, Dee Dee Ramone ( he was steady as hell), Jimmy Blanton, Dusty Hill, mMingus, James Jamerson, Larry Graham and Aston 'Family Man' Barrett to name a few ...
