Eh, I dunno. I think CC takes a lotta crap (most of it deservedly so), but he's a talented guitarist when he's not hopping around like a coked-up monkey. He's sloppy, but he's got a decent technique in the Van Halen-style of 80's shredders. He could play circles around some other peers in the business. But enough about that ass-clown.

Nice article as usual Freddy, but it's not making me nostalgic for that horrible format. I hate that it's making a weird sort of comeback, even if it's just among a small group of hipsters or kvlt metalheads. It's a format that needs to disappear forever.

Don't assume everything you hear on Poison records is actually C.C., it is widely rumored that much of Look What The Cat Dragged In was session players.

So two British Metallica fanboys re-recorded their own version of the "St. Anger" album with better production...thought that was just unusual enuff to write a piece about:

New one: 1983 was a weird year for James Bond fans. We had two (!) new 007 films in the same year - Roger Moore's Octopu$$y and Sean Connery's "unofficial" Never Say Never Again - the result of a legal battle that had gone on for nearly 25 years.

Besides the first two albums St. Anger is the only other album I like and IMO AJFA and even DM are of the same template that St. Anger is which is redundancy, redundancy, redundancy...

I've been on a major Roger Corman movie kick since I finished reading this fabulous book about his career, so I wrote a HubPage about the book and some of the flicks I've watched recently...

New one! Watching AC/DC kick ass on last night's Grammy Awards inspired me to finish off this piece on the new album that's been in the works for a while.

New one. (Yeah, I've been bored/prolific lately)... dunno how many of y'all remember the cheesy but fun 1989 sci-fi flick "Moontrap" (starring Bruce Campbell and Walter "Chekhov from Star Trek" Koenig), but it's finally been released on Blu-Ray and a much delayed sequel is finally in the works...

Great AC/DC read, FF. I don't watch the Grammys but I was curious as to how Stevie and Slade sounded, I may youtube it.

^^ Thanx man. I don't normally watch the Grammys either, but I happened to be channel-surfing by just as AC/DC was opening the show. As soon as they were done I sez "OK, that's all I need to see," and went back to "The Walking Dead." Haha.

...and the new Hubs keep on comin'!

This is actually an old entry, but I'm giving it a "bump" today to celebrate the fact that it's now been two years since I quit doing smokeless tobacco. Yay me. Very Happy

New entry... well, sorta new anyway.

I actually posted this one about a year ago at a different writing site that I was trying out called "Bubblews," but they suck (long story that I won't get into now)... so I took all my stuff down from there and I'm trying to re-work/re-edit/tweak some of those pieces into HubPage entries. This is the first one to receive such a resurrection, about the 2013 "CBGB" movie:

Congrats, FF. Chewing is such a gross habit I once had too until one day I fell asleep with Copenhagen in and swallowed it and got sicker than hell.

Ouch! I can imagine. Very Happy I don't think I ever fell asleep with a "dip" in, but occasionally I'd swallow some accidentally, that was never fun... bleah.

Anyway, hey, here's a new one:

My most-viewed HubPage piece of 2014 was the article about "Sharknado 2" and other upcoming low budget Shark movies...so I figured what the hell, let's see if lightning can strike twice. Thus, here's my preview of the 2015 Shark Movie season, starting -- of course -- with "Sharknado 3."

TS brings back a lot of childhood memories for me and most of them good except for when COAP came out my immediate elder brother played the hell out of "Leader Of The Pack" which I totally hated and still hate to this day. It turned me off so much I don't even think I have ever listened to COAP in its entirety sonce the days my bro jammed it in the '80s. Great read, FF.

I dove back into the trashy movie bin for my latest HubPage. 1995's "Ice Cream Man" stars Clint Howard (Ron's B-Movie mainstay brother) and was directed by a guy who usually did porn films. How can you NOT want to see this?

This is another oldie that I wrote for a different site a year or so ago, but I've brought it back to life with some tweakin' and re-structuring:

"When did the Halloween series jump the shark?"

New one... you'd think that putting Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund and Jenna Jameson in a zombie comedy would result in a laugh riot, right? You'd be wrong.

First new one in a while... I have been having a ton of fun digging into my recently acquired mini-box set of vintage Krokus albums this week so I wrote some blah-de-blah about 'em...

Been listening to my Divebomb Records reissues of the first two Shotgun Messiah discs all week and said to myself "Self, that band would make for a great new installment of your Forgotten Hard Rock Albums series!" ... and so it was done!

Interesing reads, FF. I never knew SM was a Swedish band. I remember hearing their fist two albums a lot as a kid but haven't heard them since so I couldn't tell you about the albums themselves.

New entry!

In "Mosh Pit Memories," I reminisce about the first and only time I ever stage dived, at a Scatterbrain gig in NYC in 1992.
