Greg Lake vs. Boz Burrell vs. John Wetton vs. Adrian Belew

Favorite King Crimson singer?

I'd have to go with Wetton, with Belew in a close second.

Tough One............

I'm picking John Wetton with Greg Lake being a very close second. JWs vocals on "Starless" was the tie breaker.

Adrian Belew. I like all the King Crimson vocalists however.

You forgot Gordon Haskell in your list. He sang 1 song on In The Wake Of Poseidon and was also the singer on Lizard.

Dammit, I knew I was forgetting one! (In my defense, I still don't have Lizard).

Haskell is a passable vocalist, but he did have the right "British humor" to pull off the lyrics to "Happy Family" and "Indoor Games" (no easy feat considering the complex arrangements).

Jon Anderson vs. Peter Hammill

Two of my favorite prog vocalists. This one's very close, but I'd have to pick Anderson.

Definitely Anderson between the two.

I love Greg Lake and John Wetton as well.

I prefer Sheepdog, Bob sounds like Milhouse Van Houten when he screams on The Simpsons.

How about death metal vocalist deathmatch?

Chuck Schuldiner (Death) vs. Kelly Shaefer (Atheist)

I, for one, prefer the shrill vocal delivery on Atheist's first three albums to Chuck's style. It gave them more of a unique, identifiable sound amongst the rest of the Florida scene. I do recognize Chuck had more of an impact on extreme metal as a whole, though, and he was a terrific musician / songwriter as well.

I'd go for Chuck...I also like the vocalist for Obituary.
