| I know most people would assume that the "1970's" would be the highest quantity in my collection...and if I only counted rock that would be accurate. But my jazz listening has made the 1960's the most common decade for me.
What about you?

| '70s, with all the ProtoMetal, Soul, stuff that was popular back then, Fusion, etc. 70s wins hands down. | |

| Mainly '80s I would guess... but I'm too lazy to go look thru my CD cabinet to determine it for sure. | |

| Just off the top of my head, I woulda guessed 80's, but looking over my spreadsheet, looks like the 90's have a bit of a dominance. Lots more 2000's than I woulda guessed too. | |

| I have very few recordings from the 80's left, only a handful of bands that I still listen to on a somewhat regular basis. Most of those are from artists that were around in the 70's also.
I have very little from the 90's either, but the 2000's was a pretty good decade actually and I've been getting quite a few things and I'm still catching up.

| I'm pretty much the same way SD, although from the 2000s on is still pretty scarce unless they were a band I liked before. Personally, 1976 is my fave year for music. | |

| (Yeah, I know this thread's dead, but I don't give a shit! ) I have the bulk of my growing music collection in the 80's, but I've been stocking up on the 70's stuff recently. It's really fun to discover new genres, like jazz and prog, that are new to me. After listening to metal for more than 5 years straight, I feel like I need a break. But, since my CD collection is pretty small (only been buying albums for about a year and a half now), there's still a shit-ton of metal albums on my want-list. But I've got a birthday coming up, and I have a feeling I'll be buying a bunch of CD's. | |

| The 80's though the 70's are a close contender. I have alot more from the 60's, 90's and 00's then I thought I did too. | |

| It's great that you're resurrecting these threads thanks man. I need a Metal break a lot of the time nowadays too, there's a lot of great tunes out there. | |

| This board essentially began because I couldn't stand talking about metal all the time, needed a wider palette to choose from.
Thanks for bringing the old threads up.
