Decided just to make a Zep thread but what I really wanna post is this little snippet from ultimate-guitar.com.

Legendary singer Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin recently revealed finding band's long-lost recordings that might even be included on the new Led Zeppelin box set. And interestingly enough, two of the songs feature bassist John Paul Jones on lead vocals. "I found some quarter-inch spools recently, and I had a meeting with Jimmy [Page], and we baked them up and listened to them, and there's some very, very interesting bits and pieces that probably will turn up on these things," he said (via Facebook). "I'm desperately trying to get this one track or the two tracks of John Paul Jones singing lead," the singer added. "And so far he's up to giving me two cars and a greenhouse not to get them on the album. Oh, John, wherever you are ... you can't wait to hear yourself singing all over the world! La la la la la la la..." In other recent Zeppelin news, a group of fans has been campaigning for late drummer John Bonham to get his statue in the town of Redditch. Earlier this year, reports of the rock icons' reunion surfaced online, with no new info revealed as of yet. Led Zeppelin held their last concert back in 2007 at London's O2 Arena.

Jones on vocals sounds interesting. Not interesting enough for me to buy a whole big-ass box set, but interesting nonetheless.

Unrelated to the JP Jones thing, but I've honestly never been a huge fan of Led Zeppelin. All I've got is the Mothership comp, and I like it well enough, but I've never checked them out fully. I guess that's probably a huge mistake on my part, but eh, I figure I've got the rest of my life to adequately check out Led Zep. What a Face

Zeppelin is best absorbed on an album by album basis, I don't think compilations really work for them.

You're probably right. I've never been curious enough to check them out further, though. One day maybe.

No. This is unacceptable and must be rectified immediately.

Good god man at least get Zep 4, no self respecting fan of rock and roll should be without it

I can't argue with that. I'll download a couple and see how I enjoy them.
