This instrumental EP is up for free download on their bandcamp page (you can pay for it as well, it's only $1.05). I don't really know how to classify it genre-wise, just take my word for it that it's fucking great. At times it has electronica influences, progressive metal, and jazz-fusion stylings... really cool stuff. And for free, anything's worth a shot.

Interesting mix of styles, there is a definite new age vibe to some of it plus the other influences you mentioned.

If any of you dudes liked Plini a lot, his friend Mario has a band called Chon. Their new EP is pretty good from what I've heard.

I really dig Chon and I feel an instrumental kick coming on so I'm gonna jam them, Cloudkicker and Red Sparowes.

Hey M-on-M, I'm guessing you're wurthless? If so I have you to thank for getting me into Plini. I'm hoping for a lot more of his work in the near future.

You guessed correctly. No problem at all, man. I'm really looking forward to his next EP, which is the third in the trilogy of Other Things and Sweet Nothings.

So combine the three EPs and we get a full-length album, I suppose? That would be nice to see a single release of all three. Perhaps this is akin to what Skid Row is doing. With better music, that is...
