Tales From The Darkside

Any fans? I remember this series as a kid and it scared the shit outta me! Especially the theme song, I used to watch it all the way through and then not be able to go to sleep. One night about a year ago I was asleep and I heard the theme song and it woke me up scared shitless (I always sleep with the T.V. on). TFTDS was created by George A. Romero and ran from 1983-1988.

I am a big anthology series fan, starting back from when I was a kid in the 70s watching reruns of Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, One Step Beyond, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

80s- my staple series were - WGN airing TZ reruns, Tales from the Darkside, and its follow on Monsters!

Was initially ecstatic when Sci Fi picked up Darkside for reruns... then come to find out they don't air every episode. Thankfully, the dvd gods got Darkside releasing on dvd. Have seasons 1 and 2, and eagerly awaiting Season 3 on Apr 27. Just one more to go after that, then I have to start hoping the dvd gods don't forget about Monsters!

Haven't seen it in years but back in high school I used to watch this show religiously. I also saw "Tales from the Darkside: The Movie" in the theatre back in the day. About all I remember of the movie was Debbie Harry, who was still holding up well at that point.

Easily my favorite anthology series, I grew up watching this one pretty regularly. Some great guest stars and episodes. It's hard to pick an overall favorite, but I always really liked I'll Give You A Million great story and acting on that one.
