Fuzzy Duck (1971)

Grahame White
Mick Hawksworth
Roy Sharland
Paul Francis
Garth Watt Roy (on bonus tracks only)

Fuzzy Duck was an English progressive rock group from London, formed in 1970. Their self-titled studio album Fuzzy Duck was released in 1971 as a limited edition of 500 copies. It featured Mick Hawksworth of Five Day Week Straw People and Andromeda, as well as Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Spice keyboardist Roy Sharland.

Their one and only album is a nice slab of Prog with some hints of Funk thrown in here and there, they kind of have a Spencer Davis Group kinda vibe to them also. The lead singer sounds like Eric Clapton, Colin Blunstone and Eddie Money at times. Upon hearing two of the four bonus tracks you can see had they released another album they'd have taken on a more Pop oriented direction and I've always dug that cover. The whole album is worth checking out.

I read about this band and album a few months ago in Classic Rock Magazine and thankfully some label re-released this album so I added to my want/shopping list

I like it, will probably try and search out the whole thing so I can listen to it all the way through.

The "duck sounds" during that one song sound like DJ record scratching...in 1970!

They ain't exactly subtle, that's for sure!

Nah, not at all. DJ record scratching? Hmmm...interesting, I gotta go back and jam it right now.
