heading out to an interview

I have a job interview tomorrow morning. It's for an Assistant Audio Visual Director position at a hotel in Beverly Hills.

Odd day. I got a call about a different job and had an initial phone interview, they should be calling me back for a second interview within the next couple days.

2 calls in one day, at least I know someone is interested.

Interview went very well. They took the time to give me a tour of the facility which I don't think they would do if they weren't interested in hiring me.

I met with the Director and the VP of the company for the interview. They want someone to start immediately so I'm hoping to hear back from them either later today or Monday.

I've browsed Indeed.com from time to time, also have accounts with Monster, CareerBuilder, Adecco, BOSS Group (job site for media/communications professionals), Linkedin and probably one or two others. Been applyin' to shit like a mofo but nobody even bothers to send me a "thank you for your interest, now fuck off" e-mail. It's downright dehumanizin' I tells ya.

Buuuuuuut, I don't wanna get off on a rant so I'm just gonna stop there.

I've glanced over the job listings there before but didn't see much that was up my alley. Can't hurt to give it another look I suppose.

Okay, so they called me back and it's all just formality now.

I go in on Monday morning at 10am to meet the Hotel GM (this is standard for this type of gig). As long as that goes well I can start on Tuesday morning.

....one problem...

I need a suit by Monday and I don't have any money. That's kind of nullifying the celebration a bit. But I've got the next 2 days to try and figure something out.

I'm also getting my hair cut short again to meet the dress code, but I don't really care about that.

This hotel primarily does social events and they do tons of events for the film industry. They often have hosts like Jay Leno or Ryan Seacrest, people like that. He told me that I'll see more movie stars while working at the hotel than I ever would just walking around L.A.

Congrats! Do me a favor, if you do happen to bump into Ryan Seacrest, punch that doofus right in the mouth for me.
