Otto rules and if I had made a longer list he definitely would've been on it. But I was tryin' to make my 20 an equal assortment of the 'obvious' and the 'obscure."

My kids (ages 4 and 9) have discovered the genius of Weird Al lately... they've been making me play all of his videos on YouTube for them... which prompted my latest Hub entry.

One of my friends met him years ago, at Mardi Gras in New Orleans of all places. He was just partyin' his way down Bourbon Street and outta nowhere, literally bumped into Weird Al. He got his picture taken with him and everything.

...I guess Mardi Gras in N.O. would be one of the few times Weird Al could walk amongst the people and not get noticed.

Yeah, that's about the truth! I've been no N.O. twice. Not during Mardi Gras, but Bourbon Street was crazy enough just on a regular night, I can only imagine how much crazier it would be

Very good! I really like how they re-did Rhythm Of Love.

Thanks man. Yeah, the rest of the re-recorded "classics" are pretty run of the mill but they did a nice job on "Rhythm of Love," it's crunchier than the original. The album that song came off of (SAVAGE AMUSEMENT) was too damn polished, the songs had no balls.

Watching the 1967 version of "Casino Royale" (see "The James Bond Thread") made my brain hurt... so I wrote a Hub about it to try and make the pain go away.

So a week or two ago my friend tells me that he saw a "shitload" of Guns N Roses' CHINESE DEMOCRACY CD at his local Dollar Tree store, I thought that was hilarious so I told him to pick one up for me since I still had never heard the album. He did, and this was the result:

Great read, FF. I don't own Chi-Dem (I hate GNR) but I've had a bootleg of most of it from like '06 and I liked 'Better' but that's it.

Well, this is interesting. It's been brought to my attention that the Guns N' Roses article I posted on HubPages just yesterday has been copied in its entirety - including the photos!! - and re-posted by some ass monkey who's claiming it as his own original work on another article site ("BigEzine.com"). Son of a b***h!! Rest assured that I have already fired off angry e-mails to the proper authorities... Lord knows if it'll do any good, but the possibilities keep me entertained.

From what I've been seeing in the forums on HubPages, this particular site has a history of people rippin' stuff off from HubPages and other legit writing sites.

I know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery 'n' all, but I hope the guy who ripped off my shiz gets horribly mangled in an industrial accident of some sort.

As a way to vent my frustration at one of my articles being stolen yesterday, I banged out this quickie Hub. I haven't checked the "thieving" site yet today but I think it'd be hilarious if they "scraped" it and put it on their front page.

LOL. It think that's crazy people just randomly ripping off others work and posting it as their own. The internet has really changed all concepts of "ownership", essentially once something goes online it ceases to be owned by anyone, it becomes the property of everyone.

A sad and rather pathetic assumption, but one that appears valid.
