The only way to know for sure is to find out if the DT song was written before the Red song was released. I think DT was in the studio at the time Red was released, so possible.....

That said the DT song is much better. And Mike Portnoy sounds like a bitter ex that got jilted by the younger girlfriend the he left his wife and family to be with.

Dream Theater sucks ass anyway.

I don't know about ripping off, there's bound to be similarites between groups in the same style. Bands just seem to get more sand in their vaginas about it these days. Except for that Satch one, I definately think Coldplay stole that. hahaha
