I still remember the first time I heard "The Plague" EP, I thought the tune Cross Of Iron was one of the baddest tunes of all time.

Finally got a copy of Survive on CD. This band is really overlooked in the annals of thrash metal. Still trying to find a cheapy copy of "Something Wicked".

Survive is one of the best thrash albums ever, pure attitude captured on tape.

Survive is really their masterpiece. Something Wicked is an ok album, but it suffers alot without Danny Lilker IMO. He was bassically the background of their style and sound.

Useless trivia, the song "Something Wicked" was used as the end credit theme to the movie "Warlock: The Armageddon"

I actually dig Game over more than survive...

THE PLAGUE and SURVIVE are a perfect one-two punch...

Which by the way, I didnt mean to imply I hate this album, its ok, pretty good half thrash, but its pretty stagnant on large parts of it.

Thanks! But I found a copy on Amazon for 13 bucks.

I think they really hit upon their sound on The Plague EP, Game Over is a good album, it's just not quite fully formed.

I always felt that Handle With Care was a bit of a letdown after Survive though, the flat production never helped that feeling, but nothing on that record really sticks in my head the way Survive does.

The problem with Handle With Care is it's not as coherent as Survive. Its almost like they were on auto pilot after that album. Nothing really sucks, it just doesnt really stick with you afterwards.

HANDLE WITH CARE pales in comparison to SURVIVE, but if you wanna talk auto pilot, OUT OF ORDER personifies it.

The main problem with GAME OVER is the production. It blows goats. Wayyyyy too tinny and cheap!! I know that Combat Records wasn't exactly a multi zillion dollar corporation but they could've thrown them a few extra $$ for mixing and it would've come out tons better. If that album had the same sound quality as SURVIVE those two albums would probably be equals in my book.

Ive always thought Out Of Order was so sterile because everyone was involved with other stuff, Lilker with Brutal Truth, Evans with C.I.A. And seeing as they work best as a whole, with everyone not having their heads completely in it.

Survive is their best easily though, one of my all time favorites.

I feel the same way about Game Over, but that album still kicks major ass as well.

Gotta dig Nuke Assault, sadly overlooked but kick ass all the way. I only have Game Over, Handle With Care, Out Of Order, The Plague & Survive but I like all of them. Everytime I listen to them I can picture Milhouse on vox.
