So here's the deal I've been drinking a lot tonight Black Velvet whiskey (expensive but worth it) And frankly it's a damn miracle that I'm spelling things coherently
What do you guys like to drink? And if you don't drink anything, what are you even doing? Making GOOD CHOICES? Fuck that, man

I only drink a couple times a year nowadays. Usually it's Bacardi Gold.

I enjoy a good beer or two once in a while, usually it's Negra Modelo or Guinness. I stay away from hard drink nowadays as it was my weakness for many years dating back to when I was around 4 or 5. Yes, I said 4 or 5, my dad was an alcoholic...I followed suit.

I'm pretty much a beer guy ... don't really have a brand preference/loyalty.... I choose my beers based mainly on what looks interesting (or depending on how much $$ I have)... so I could be drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon one night, then a fancy-schmancy micro-brew the next.
Tonight's a Pabst night. Payday's not till tomorrow and Daddy had a shitty day at work so I stopped off for a couple of 24 ouncers on the way home.
Salud!

I give you major props for being able to stomach Pabst. It takes a much braver man than I. Two bottles of those and I puke my guts out

Two 24 oz'ers were cheaper than a 40... and you get eight extra ounces!!

I have years of experience with consumption of swill brew going back to my college days, during which my friends and I regularly binged on 40 ouncers the cheapest, nastiest ghetto beers and Malt Liquors available. Believe me, compared to some of those, Pabst Blue Ribbon is practically a fine wine.

I actually had a drink when I went out to see YOB last night...that was the first drink I've had in probably a year.

here's what I posted on the "other board".
Just got back from seeing YOB at the Down 'N' Out in downtown Los Angeles. KILLER show! These guys are just amazingly heavy. Mike Scheidt coaxes incredible, otherworldly sounds from that guitar, he's totally in the zone for the entire show, almost like he's in a hypnotic trance. He can scream his lungs out too! Rhythm section was spot-on, crushing throughout.
I'd go see these guys again in a heartbeat, just brilliant experimental doom/drone. They played 6 songs "Ball Of Molten Lead", "Prepare The Ground", "Burning The Altar", "Kosmos", "Grasping Air" - each clocking in around the 10 to 15 minute range, plus the epic 25 minute track "The Mental Tyrant".
I sum it up by saying that standing between the PA speakers at a YOB show is like being inside a giant lava lamp.

I enjoy decent beers, (Skyy) vodka & tonic, red wine and the occasional white russian. Not at all the same time though.
I'm more of a social drinker these days. Or anti-social drinker. Whichever. Since having kids, I don't get drunk much anymore. They don't respect the hangover, so I've found it's not worth it.

That stuff's too sickening sweet for me. I can't stomach it. My hangover cure is just a coupla aspirins and some strong, black coffee.

One of the "Chuck Norris Facts" claims that Red Bull is Chuck Norris' urine, bottled.
I can believe that. I tried that stuff once and it sure tasted like someone's urine.

I don't drink anywhere near as much as I used to, but when I do it's generally Crown Royal which is my favorite whiskey. If I'm running low on funds it's good ol' E & J V.S.O.P. though. Other then that if I go for beer it's almost always Red Stripe, the only time I make an exception is this time of year when Pumpkin Ale is plentiful. Favorite mixed drink is a White Russian.
Spec can attest to the fact it's probably better for the world in general if I'm not shitface drunk though.

I was in the mood for beer tonite... but payday isn't till this Thursday so I had to go cheap. Lo and behold, the local liquor purveyor had 24 oz. cans of Milwaukee's Best Ice (!) on sale this week for a mere 1.25 a can, so I bought a shitload of 'em... on my second one of the night right now and I'm feeling it ... woooo yeah

Drinkin' some Pabst Blue Ribbon while I wait for Hurricane Sandy to make her Jersey appearance... the suspense is fuckin' killing me, I wish this damn storm would just hit already so we can get it over with.

^^ We're feelin' it now, yeah. Right now it's just windy and some rain, supposedly the real heavy shiz will be coming thru later, i.e. overnight into tomorrow AM.
I'm just tryin' to enjoy as much Internet as I can before the power inevitably goes out.

I was drinking some E&J and partaking in many smokeables during the storm myself. Was wild watching it tear the shore apart.

DRUNK POSTING TIME, I drank a good amount of whiskey and have been listening to this for like an hour:
