Should this forum continue?

Fairly self-explanatory since it's so utterly dead in here.

For some reason I knew this question was gonna come up sooner or later. I don't post as much b/c I thought I was becoming a cyber schizoid.

I've been somewhat absent from the internet the past few weeks, and I will for the next couple of months as well. It's summer vacation, and I'm trying to keep up some sort of a social life.

I still listen to music, and I still try to discover as much as I can, but I'm also trying to make new friends and put myself out there. I really enjoy this forum when it's active, but at the moment it's a bit hard for me to keep it up.

As I've said before, I'd hate to see this place go under.

Well, it's free so it's not like it is costing any money to keep open. I was just curious to see what people thought at this juncture.

I'm married and I have no social life so like I've said a million times, this place is home. If I hadn't been invited here I'd really have no place to post for the most part.

I'm gonna try to contribute more, actually. Revive some old threads, and start up some new ones.

I think I've mentioned before, but my tastes have swung back to the predominately metal side of things again. Lots of prog and extreme metal, with a sprinkling of prog-rock and indie shit thrown in there occasionally.

I'll try to keep that "metal song of the day" thread updated, at least. I could easily contribute stuff there.

Leave it up!! There's some cool stuff going on here that I don't get at certain, shall we say, "other" forums.

Keep it open! I really need to post more (I do read more than I post around here!)

I'll be the lone voice of dissent. While I'm not actively campaining to close up shop, I know I don't contribute much here anymore.

I enjoy the occasional pop-in now & then for a random comment or 2. As long as the forum continues to exist, I'll continue to do so. If it goes away, so be it.

That actually is pretty weird. You have gotten me into a bunch of great shit, though. I've just been more attracted to the extreme end of things recently.

Nah, don't close up the Workshop, it's a great hang out, we just need more feed back on subjects around here, I know I read a lot of stuff here and don't post anything, but that's because I'm not on par with the rest of you musical geniuses.  I find it sad that the membership here has a lot of people but is only carried by a select few, maybe some e-mails need to be sent to unactive members, maybe they just forgot how to get back to this place, I know that happened to me for awhile when one computer crashed on me and I had to get a new one, and could not remember the site url thing, just saying.  But my vote is keep it going man.

Anyone know what happened to Death Cult? He dropped off the planet. This used to be his forum, wasn't it?

We say hi to each other on Facebook from time to time. He hasn't made an appearance here or H.O.M. in a while though.

I started this forum initially as "Detuned's Domain" and then after a couple years decided I was going to re-brand it and pass the baton over the Deathcult for him to manage. We worked on the redesign together (both big fans of Blue Oyster Cult hence the design) and relaunched but then I never really left and DC didn't have the time to invest into managing the site so it's essentially been myself (barely) operating it since.

Greg is doing okay, I've spoken to him recently. I'll let him know people are asking about him.

I see him on FB once in awhile, talk to him every now and then, keep it open, I don't contribute much because the music knowledge you guys show is waaaaaaaaay above mine. My taste in music are pretty much the average, love my Deep Purples, Alice Coopers, Black Sabbaths etc

We dig the Purps, Blacks & Coops too manny. NO EXCUSE!! 

I'm just a dumb metal head. I don't know jack about jazz, prog, and whatever the fuck else y'all listen to around here.

I suppose I'll keep this place going, I'm not posting on HOM any longer, I don't have much time to post here but I'll try to keep the lights on.
