| This is the thread to discuss them but firstly I wanna know if their last 3 studio albums are good b/c that's all I lack. I've heard they aren't all that good. | |

| The only later Supertramp album I've heard is Brother Where You Bound, that one had a hit radio single at the time (Cannonball) even though I never thought it really sounded like Supertramp.
That album and the ones since haven't featured Roger Hodgeson and I don't really think Supertramp can exist without both of the main songwriters.

| Yeah, I felt the same way about them when both Davies and Hodgeson weren't in there. I only got "Brother" cuz Gorham and Gilmour are on the title track. | |

| All I know about Supertramp is that in their prime ("Crime Of The Century" through "Breakfast In America"), they fucking ruled. I love their songwriting and the sweet sound of that wurlitzer piano. Mmmmmm | |

| I'm in the same boat, SG. That four album run kicks ass. I've never cared to check anything out further than that, though. | |

| I listened to their first album (Supertramp, 1970) yesterday and while it's different than their later stuff you can still hear the beginnings of what they would evolve into.
For people that stopped paying attention after Breakfast In America I highly recommend checking out the live album "Paris", it's killer.

Not much for live albums but Paris kicks ass.

| I jammed "Indelibly Stamped" the other day and I hear some people pan it but I like it. | |

| I don't think it's "hate" as much as those records featured no hits and they hadn't quite nailed their own sound yet. Most people I know start with Crime Of The Century and go forward. | |

| I really like those first two albums and I think the lack of hits makes them more appealing but from Crime Of The Century up to Breakfast In America they were ON. | |
