| I've always liked Alice Cooper in passing. I've heard the hits and liked them on the radio, etc. I also like watching interviews with him...he seems so down to earth and matter of fact. But I've never delved head-first into his album...until now.
Over the last couple months, I've acquired Goes To Hell, Killer and Love It To Death...
We shall see what happens over time, but now seeing as these albums are all "new to me", I really dig them...there's just an undeniable presence that oozes cool about them. His lyrics are fantastic and the music pretty much rocks.

| I love those early to mid 70's Alice Cooper recordings, that's the real meat of his catalog in my opinion. My favorite album is probably a toss up between either Love It To Death or Welcome To My Nightmare. | |

I really think that record was a stroke of geinus, whether he remembers it or not. He successfully combined both styles he had been playing with, pretty damn awesome.

And guitar player on the disc is formerly of Iron Butterfly fame Mike Pinera, love every song on the disc, also discovered the band Love, due to his cover of 'Seven and Seven Is'

I recently acquired 'Special Forces-The Acetate Mixes' which sounds more raw than the original release. Good schtuff, Maynard. I also like Lace & Whiskey a lot.

| I used to hate 'Lace and Whiskey' and it is still not one of my favorite Cooper albums. It has some great tunes such as the title track, 'It's Hot Tonight' "Road Rats' all great songs but most of the album IMO is filled with too much filler material, not something Alice did not do too often. | |

| The Sharpest Pain is a pretty good song, the Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 has some poor sound quality, but I guess that's to be expected from a live cut, sounds like someone recorded it on there cell phone? That's cool that Alice does a cover of this song, it would have been cool to here him do something lesser known by Floyd but rocks all the same. I wonder if Alice has ever covered any Dio stuff? I know Dio covered Welcome to my Nightmare, it would be interesting to here ol' Alice cover a Dio tune. Must look into this now....... | |

| I'm going to pick up some Alice the next time I go vinyl shopping. I've never owned those old Cooper records in any other format...and I don't want to.

| My Cooper collection is kinda spotty. I'm slowly gathering up most of his 70's output and I have everything post-Last Temptation. I'm pretty much skipping most of the 80's and early 90's stuff. Alice kinda lost his way in the 80's as far as I'm concerned. | |

I would recommend getting "Raise Your Fist And Yell", that's his most "metal" album of the 80's.
