| I'm in the same boat with Metalguy, I don't own any Yes albums, just a few tracks here and there, good band though, always liked what I heard from them. | |

| Motorhead 1. Overkill 2. No Sleep Til Hammersmith 3. Bomber 4. Ace Of Spades 5. Iron Fist Hmm, another tough one! That's the era of the band I really grew up with and still like the most though, Another Perfect Day, Rock N Roll, and Orgasmatron get a nod though. Also, when it comes to Motorhead, I give The Golden Years EP a big nod, that was the first release I had from them. EDITED

| Live Albums are encouraged on this list, some bands best albums ARE their live dates.

| Rock N Roll has grown on me over the years...especially with "Just Cause You Got The Power" and "Cradle To The Grave" added to it.
although the studio version of "Power" pales by comparison to the monster reading on "No Sleep At All".

| No Sleep At All is a great live album. It just sounds like it's being played through a transistor radio. | |

I don't recall it sounding that bad, though it's been a long time since I heard it.

This list was very hard for me, I had to change them a few times, and think about it and make more changes.

| Motorhead... 1. No Remorse 2. 1916 3. Ace of Spades 4. We Are Motorhead 5. Overkill Yea, No Remorse is a comp, but it was also my introduction to the band in highschool. Played the hell out of that tape till I left it in my buddies car on the dashboard and the sun warped it. | |

| Not that anyone really cares, but I didn't get the full Motorhead albums til I was out of high school, my first exposure actually came out of a round of singles and EP's I got out of a local thrift shop. All bronze releases, and despite liking all era's of Motorhead, this is still my favorite.
Louie, Louie/Tear Ya Down Overkill/ Too Late, Too Late No Class/Like A Nightmare Bomber/Over The Top The Golden Years EP Ace Of Spades/Dirty Love Motorhead (Live)/Over The Top (Live) St. Valentines Day Massacre EP Iron Fist/Remember Me, I'm Gone I Got Mine/ Turn You 'Round Again
Maybe not the most definitive way to get into Motorhead, but it made a pretty badass cassette comp.

| Yeah, those are great singles.
I got into Motorhead in a roundabout way as well. I bought Another Perfect Day as a blind purchase (because the cover is epic) and was a little "too much" for me at age 13...but I kept the album and would revisit occasionally, finding more stuff I liked with each listen.
Then my best friend bought No Remorse (leather cover LP set) and we jammed it over a weekend and I fell in love with it. I later bought a copy from another friend that just "didn't get it".
I bought Orgasmatron when it came out and then started collecting the earlier albums when CDs were released.

| Motorhead:
1. No Remorse 2. Live And Raw 3. 4. 5.
My introduction to them was the Live And Heavy(V/A comp where not all the songs are live) compilation LP which has White Line Fever on it(which is one of the actual live tracks). I then bought the No Remorse comp on cassette(no White Line... WTF!!!!) and finally Live and Raw(one of it's many names) just recently(it has THAT version of White Line on it).
I gave the tape to my younger kid who now likes Motorhead and whenever I use the minivan(it only has a tape deck) I'll toss that in there.
I'd say that live version of White Line Fever is my favorite Motorhead song!
