What's on that? I don't recall but it has The Birthday Song. It was more of a raw sounding record than what they finally released, I can't remember what album it eventually became.

Truthfully it is not my favorite but I think Girls!, Theatre of Pain, Generation Swine and New Tattoo are all border line shit, so I had go with something. If he sounds like crap then this is truly sad because it sounds like he overdubbed most of the vocals and they punched in later into the recordings, actually now that I think about it, Entertainment is border line shit too

| Next artist:
ZZ Top
1. Tejas 2. Deguello 3. Rhythmeen 4. Rio Grande Mud 5. Tres Hombres
Of my top 3 any one of those could be #1 but I chose Tejas ever since I found killer vinyl rips of the original mixes. It had been at least a decade or so since I had heard them since the "new" remixes turned my stomach.

I know #4 and #5 maybe are not the cream of the ZZ crop but they are two I grew up with and got played alot, my #1 is mostly live but it's got my favorite songs of all time.

| I'm behind:
The Beatles:
1. Sgt. Pepper's 2. Help! 3. Rubber Soul 4. Revolver 5. Magical Mystery Tour
That was a tuffy! I had to leave off some good stuff.
ZZ Top:
1. Eliminator 2. Afterburner 3. 4. 5.
Those are the only ZZ top I ever had. I like just about every song I've heard from them, I just never bought any of their other albums.

| ZZ TOP:
1-The Best of ZZ Top 2-Deguello 3-Tejas 4-Rio Grande Mud 5-Elimantor
Usually would not include a comp album, but this comp introduced me to the pre-MTV era of ZZ Top's career

Although I do like some of the earlier albums, the first 4 I listed where the ones I grew up with and still my favorites. Also, outside of those, when it comes to their other albums there's alot of individual songs I love, but as whole albums they don't do much for me.

| Next band:
Van Halen
1. OU812 2. F.U.C.K. 3. 5150 4. II 5. Fair Warning
Ilike every VH album but I'm a major Hagar fanboy. Musically I think they were better with Roth but overall and lyrically they were better with Hagar.

| I like Hagar's voice, and his work in Montrose quite a bit. But I can't stand the music Van Halen we're playing when it was in the band. It's complete shit, there's maybe 2 songs I like from 5150.
1. Fair Warning 2. Van Halen I 3. Women and Children First 4. 1984 5. Van Halen II

| Roth gets on everybody's nerves at some point, just part of his schtick. That schtick is calmer on Fair Warning...though Ted Templeman's bitch at Roth remained on the recording.
I think it's during Unchained, Roth is saying something stupid and then you hear Ted's voice through the control room speakers say "C'mon Dave, give us a break". That wasn't staged, Templeman frequently wanted to kill Roth.
LOL.

| Wow, I didn't know it wasn't staged and I thought that was Eddie saying that to Roth. Thanks for the piece of trivia, very interesting. It's gonna be a VH day today I think. | |
