Whan I saw PT many years ago the opening act was Robert Fripp....... It was trippy stuff but too long.

He was doing tapping in the early 70s!

Whan I saw PT many years ago the opening act was Robert Fripp....... It was trippy stuff but too long.

The soundscape stuff that Fripp does takes a long time to build, it's like composing on the fly, sometimes it works and end up beautiful, sometimes it just kind of lays there and does nothing.

But, to me, I'd rather see someone try and fail than not try at all (which sums up about 85% of the bands out there, who wouldn't take an actual risk for fear of irritating a single individual).
