Just curious to see what other styles of music you guys dig...not counting any metal or rock.

Most of you know that I'm a jazz fan, so here are some of the main artists I listen to;

There might be an odd disc or 2 of other genres, but for the most part, my 1700+ disc collection is primarily rock, hard rock and metal based.

big band swing was really just a sub-genre of "Jazz", so either works.

MG, I think what you're missing are some jazz guitarists, to bridge that gap between your blues collection and your jazz discs.

Wes Mongomery, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell (my favorite), Barney Kessel, Joe Pass, etc.

I like a lot of Latin music, especially from Cuba and the surrounding areas. Mongo Santamaria is bad ass. Latin Jazz is another. I like a couple of 80s Country dudes as well b/c they remind me of my ol' man...

I'm trying not to go too crazy delving into the jazz genre because I just don't have the time or money to get too involved.

Ok, I went through my Brazilian and Bossa Nova collection and I've got a lot of comps and some Jobim, Chico Cesar, Elis Regina, Luiz Bonfa, Onda Sonora, Getz, Gilberto, Two Man, Walter Wanderly, Sergio Mendez, Getz/Gilberto, Son Caribe and a ton of others.
