Oh yeah, "Up At The Crack" -- haha!! That one is in virtually every "Worst Album Covers Ever" gallery on the Net though, I wanted to stack mine with something other than the "usual suspects"

Yeah, the "Annals of Subterfuge" was a way better title. Besides, I like that artwork and now I guess they won't be using it. Sad

Very true... I could've used any of the covers from the first four, but Metal Magic in particular is definitely the worst of a bad batch...

The Elder was the second Kiss album I bought, with Alive II being the first, and the only studio album that I had for a long time. Is it wrong that it is my favorite by them?

If you like something then it can't be "wrong"...who cares what other people think anyway?

I remember seeing KISS on Solid Gold promoting The Elder, this was in the post-Dynasty era when I had started moving onto other bands like Pink Floyd, Kansas, Queen, etc. They did two songs from the album but I didn't like either song enough to ever bother buying The Elder...I've heard the entire album once (about 20 years ago).
