Steely Dan is definitely in my top 5 favorite bands, along with a very select few others. I couldn't thank you guys enough for introducing me to them.

ALMOST as much as the new Rush, I have been looking forward to this album. Sounds good to me!

Yes. But that's a double-edged sword. The "heaviness" of the last few records seems to be gone again. Methinks this is Mr. Sadler's doing. He was always the the part of the band that brought the "pop" elements in.

I'm listening to the LP rip of the original LP I owned when I was a teenager, I hate the sound of all the CD versions, none of them sound right to me.

Dexter Gordon-Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)

Gettin' Around is actually my least favorite Blue Note Dexter album, don't get me wrong, it's great, but ALL of his Blue Note albums are essential honestly.

I'd probably rank them this way:

1. One Flight Up
2. Dexter Calling
3. Go / A Swingin' Affair (both albums from the same recording session)
4. Our Man In Paris
5. Doin' Alright
6. Gettin' Around
