I wasn't necessarily thinking along those lines but I was thinking that I'd really have to be in the right mood for "Gettin' Around" b/c it is so melancholy at times. It is a great album but even though he does have mellow tunes on his albums this one in particulr just struck me as melancholy. Not a bad thing...

2 songs actually, a medley of "Don't Ask Me Why" and "Salinas" by Laura Marling.
It's hard to believe she's only 22, she has the musical maturity of someone twice her age.

For some odd reason, this bit from Mel Brooks' "History of the World Part I" came up in office conversation today, and since then I've had THIS song invading my brain....

Fleetwood Mac-Big Love; this is the only vocal performance by Stevie Nicks I've ever liked.

Fleetwood Mac with Nicks, or I suppose I should say all popular Fleetwood Mac really, always struck me as overtly sappy. Disappointing that's how they turned out after Peter Green left. With that said, there's still a few tracks I enjoy.

Yeah the era from '77 on has a lot of filler and sappiness but there are a few good songs still. Have you jammed the era from "Kiln House" to "Heroes Are Hard To Find", DC?

Can't say that I have. I don't really dig them to begin with, so never bothered with full albums from different eras.
