Those were damn hard to get! I can't tell you how many auctions I lost to get these at a decent price!!!!

I couldn't afford to get all of the 40th Anniversary ones; I think they're all the 2004 Remasters. And I'm hoping the Nektar albums are the original and not the remixes.

The Nektar reissues are the original European mixes. Lots of good bonus material, especially the "Boston tapes" which was their first recording session though not issued at the time.

The Crimson discs you got are good, nothing wrong with that batch. I haven't upgraded all of mine to the 40th editions either.

I was thinking of picking up Islands just for the cover.

The 40th Anniversary editions of "Islands" and "Lizard" are my favorites in that series, Steven Wilson really improved both albums with his remix. There are some nice bonus tracks as well.

I got some more money for Christmas, what are some other good King Crimson albums to get? I'm thinkin' about getting Collectable King Crimson 1 and In the Wake of Poseidon. Any more essentials I need?

Saw TSO on Friday and picked up a couple of their albums on vinyl at the show:

Beethoven's Last Night (2 LP set)
Night Castle (4 LP set!)

That's a great collection. The "Asbury Park" concert is one of their most famous. Those tapes were used (along with studio overdubs) for the album "USA". However, a better master of the concert showed up years later and they were able to release it as originally performed. "Live At Mainz" is another killer show.

The live recordings I recommended don't contain any of that material, so you don't need to worry about duplicates.

I got lucky and found the Deluxe version on Amazon for 10 bucks right before Christmas, so I snatched it up.

I picked up the 2011 Remaster of Queen's S/T at Walmart.
