| Bought some vinyl today. Apparently I got rid of my Humble Pie collection so I am rebuying it.
Here's what I got:
Buggles - The Age Of Plastic Buggles - Adventures In Modern Recording Humble Pie - Eat It Humble Pie - Thunderbox Humble Pie - On To Victory (Promo) Humble Pie - Go For The Throat (Promo) Joe Satriani - Not Of This Earth (Original Cover) War - The World Is A Ghetto
The War one is what I'm spinnin' now

| Nice haul! That Humble Pie looks killer, I gotta get their entire discog. That War album is great and the Satch with original cover would be kewl to own. The Buggles? Don't think I've ever heard of them. | |

Thanks. Yea, I used to have all The Pie on vinyl and I thought I still did until I went to go spin one. Ha, joke's on me...... That War album is really good. I've heard "Cisco Kid" on the radio before, but the rest is just awesome jamjazzfunk. Regarding Satch, now I have that and the reissue with the blue vinyl that I bought back in the late 80s. Buggles: "Video Killed The Radio Star" Those would be the two guys who ended up in Yes for the Drama album. In fact, "I Am A Camera" is the Buggles version of "Into The Lens" off of Drama.

| That Buggles song is the only one I ever remember hearing now that you mention it, wasn't that the first ever video aired on MTV or something?
Look into the War albums with Eric Burdon; Eric Burdon Declares "War", Love Is All Around and Black Man's Burdon, also Deliver The Word, All Day Music and Why Can't We Be Friends? and the half compilation /half new album Platinum Jazz which is worth it for new "new side" which is all instrumental stuff.

| At the Dimple vinyl store 3/23/10:
Horslips - The Book Of Invasions ($1.99) Little River Band - Playing To Win ($.99) Mi-Sex - Where Do They Go? ($.99) Shiny Toy Guns - Season Of Poison (I got it for $5.99 as the song Poison has a huge scratch on it, but the rest is record is fine and the other record is vg+) Traffic - When The Eagle Flies ($1.99) Gino Vannelli - Black Cars ($.99) Gino Vannelli - Big Dreamers Never Sleep ($.99)
There were two others I was going to buy but I ran out of time and couldn't remember if I already had one(Synergy - Games and White Wolf's second album).

| I actually have pictures of what I bought today! From my phone: I've been using my ASUS monitor rebate (they give you a little debit card instead of a check) to score some inexpensive vinyl. | |

It's a myth, just like the "good" Poison album.

| Today:
Graveyard - Hisingen Blues (arrived in the mail today....clear blue vinyl)
Havok - Time Is Up (picked this up at a different Dimple while my wife was getting her hair done)
On a side note, Dimple had White Wizzard and Holy Grail in The Regular section and Stryper in the Gospel section instead of Metal. No wonder no one can find these albums!!!!

| After my chiropractor appt., I decided to cruise by Dimple(which is around the corner) and bought: The Anvil was on sale for 10.99 and I ordered this from the US prog label Syn-Phonic: It has eight songs, most of which were previously unreleased, by various progressive rock bands(I think that they are all US bands): Side A 1. LIFT - Perspective (9:18) 2. HAPPY THE MAN - "Leave That Kitten Alone, Armone" (9:16) Side B 3. YEZDA URFA - The Basis Of Dubenglazy (While Dirk Does the Dance) (9:30) 4. NETHERWORLD - Cumulo Nimbus (10:32) Part I - The Approaching Storm 4:37 Part II - In the Mist 1:58 Part III - Among the Clouds 3:57 Side C 5. DJAM KARET - Swamp of Dreams (9:15) 6. EPISODE - Edge of the Sky (14:45) Side D 7. NOW - Shroomer Consumer (11:29) 8. KALABAN - Sleepless (9:52) I've wanted to get this album for YEARS and today I finally bought it. It's only on Vinyl. If you like prog he's got a lot of it for sale. His site is where I bought all of my PFM albums. | |

Yeah, I had it for several years after it first came out being that I'm a King's X nut (and at the time a Dream Theater nut too)...but (long story) I had to sell of all my CDs a while back and have been in re-buy mode since about 2008...I just NOW was able to get this one back...yay!

| I need to spin both of those Platypus records again soon. I preferred the Jelly Jam project that came afterwards, so these first two albums have been kind of forgotten by me. Good thing I haven't sold them yet, I've had to sell pretty much everything else. I used to have over 2000 jazz CDs, now I have less than 20. but enough of that fun stuff, waking up with: | |
