With all these locker sites and now bit torrent sites falling like dominos, it does kind of beg the question of what now?

If sales of CDs and DVDs suddenly jump up then I guess we'll see if it's justified. But I don't think that's going to happen, there may be a slight uptick in sales, but I doubt it will be anything significant.

If you take away the "sharing" aspect from this generation...I have a feeling they will use their tech saavy to find other ways around. The world is so entitled at this point, they will be screaming revolution at the top of their lungs...even though their viewpoint is permanently skewed.

Yeah, I was able to download both Chris Robinson Brotherhood shows that were held here at Harlow's from torrent sites. I had attended both those shows and bought merch. It seems that CR and the BC family don't mind if you trade shows that they are not selling on the Live Nation website.

Maiden is the exact same way - they know that just about every show is record via audio or video. They just don't want people charging for it. As far as trading, they don't care. Hell, on the 2005 Ullevi show bootleg (aired on Sweedish TV), Bruce says make sure you give copies to all your friends, not just your Sweedish ones. One of the guys that works for Maiden that I talked to in England said since that show was aired live on TV, it was a gift to the fans since they knew it would be heavily traded.

Other bands like KISS and Metallica just charge for every show and monetized it.
