yeah that was a chill tune, don't think it's something to jam too often, but good stuff still.

Yeah I love that album, too bad they're always overlooked even on these boards it seems. Glad to see they are jamming again.

Phil's bass in the beginning is so bad ass, I can see how this influenced Steve Harris.

Up for air:
Today's jam is a live instrumental performance from Porcupine Tree.
Enjoy!

I've always been pretty meh towards Fleetwood Mac. Unless it's Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac we're talkin' about.

Those paticular songs are post-Green and pre rich and famous, no Buckingham or Nicks.

I"m actually familiar with both of those Fleetwood Mac tunes, my Dad was a fan of their earlier material. I'm especially fond of Hypnotized which has a nice little soul groove to it.

Yeah, as much as I love the Blues and Green-Mac I prefer the stuff from Kiln House to Heroes Are Hard To Find the best, maybe I'll post my playlist from that era for shits and giggles.

That Mac tune has a nice atmosphere to it. I like those Bob Welch-Mac albums.

Nah, I try to listen to as many of these as possible. I like the horn charts these guys use, not that crazy about the vocals though, seems to have been the Achilles heel of many of these bands from that era.

ya know, I really like the vox. I've always felt like G.G. Shinn had a nice "black" sounding voice that added that extra pizzazz. I've tried to get into Billy Cobham's Jazz-Rock band but the vox immediately turned me off. I really dig the horn charts, Bill Chase was a beast.

Here's some wonderful tune-age. Robert Friipp showing off his "Frippertronics" on The Midnight Special, 1979. Why can't TV still be like this?

I just watched that about an hour ago or so....I also watched a G3 performance w/Fripp, Satch and Vai. I liked how Fripp let his music do the talking.
