I recorded a P.O.S. called "Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan" off of SyFy Channel last week (I saw the trailer and couldn't resist) ... I think that one's calling my name tonight

That Axe Giant flick has a cool cover man, even if it does turn out to be a P.O.S.
Watched "John Carter" the other night, that was tolerable, I like sci fi adventure flicks. Also watched the new "3 Stooges" flick a couple of nights ago, didn't think I would like this being a big Stooges fan, but surprised how funny this actually was, very enjoyable.

I liked both of those flick - I didn't think John Carter deserved all the hate it got.... Three Stooges was funny - my kids lived it too

Yeah my kids loved the 3 Stooges as well, and they lived it, I still have to tell them not to poke each other in the eyes or hit each other with shit, crazy.

I got about halfway thru "Axe Giant" last night before I started to doze off so I'm gonna have to finish it later. Two words: PURE CHEEZ.
Peep the trailer. The CGI is fuckin' godawful, and the so called "Axe Giant" looks like Shrek on roids.

Hit the library this afternoon and it looks like my viewing slate for this week is pretty well set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I've gotten into the newest Netflix original series, Orange is the New Black, recently, and I've gotta say, it's really great. A drama about a normal woman with a normal, suburban life. Oh yeah, and she used to date a lesbian drug-runner (played by Laura Prepon). When her past catches up to her, she gets sent to prison, and the show highlights her experiences there.
I'm 6 episodes in and it's one of the better Netflix-produced shows there's been (it's definitely better than Hemlock Grove and the atrocious reboot of Arrested Development).

Hey man, The Arrested Development reboot was pretty good once you got past the first few episodes.

I guess that was my problem then, I couldn't get past the first 5 episodes. I was majorly disappointed.

Got a 4-pack of vintage "Hammer Studios" horror flicks from the library this past week ... tonight's pick will likely be "The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll"

Watched this last night at the Tower Theaters 75th Anniversary celebration
Not bad for 75 cents. That movie was the first one that they showed when it opened in 1938, they even had some short subjects and a cartoon, just like they would have back then.

Been slackin' on the movie watchin' front lately... so I got a whole stack of DVDs on the nightstand waiting to be viewed... should I start with "High Fidelity," "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane," or "Firestorm?"
