| Forgot to add this: Found this to be a total disappointment, I didn't expect a total return to form but this was just so underwhelming and pretentious but the second half gets better. I think it's just the parts were greater than the sum, not to mention the production is tough on the ears. I long for Fusion Santana or the Santana from the first three albums at least. Now the Afro-Latin sexual swagger is too Viagra induced to be believable, a couple more hours of this and I'd have to see a doctor... | |

| Finally a real perspective of this album! Everywhere else I read, it's like the second coming of Santana 3. | |

| It's still in the vein of what he's done since Supernatural only with less "star" power but the pandering to radio is still there and with that being said I prefer albums like Supernatural, Shaman & All That I Am because their pandering is at least better if there is such a thing. I'm jamming Santana IV again and it's even more irritating this time around.
Another thing that sucks for me is Rollie lost that haunting vibe to his voice that I loved on those first 3 Journey albums and first 4 Santana albums cause that era of Rollie puts him right up there with my fave singers but he still knows how to coax a Hammond B-3.

| My bootleg deluxe edition of 'Purple Rain' came in today so I'm stoked (2 hours and 40 minutes long). It'll go good with the original release and a 'Purple Rain Unedited' bootleg that I have that has a few differences from the boot I just got and lesser sound quality. | |

| Apparently, there was more stuff that hadn't been put out yet and when the clerk saw me he put these three down next to me and asked if I was interested. I said, "All original pressings? oh yeah!" Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast Iron Maiden - Piece Of Mind Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time
I had found these at the same time he showed me those: Voivod - The Lost Machine / Jack Luminous 12" clear aqua green vinyl Exciter - Feel The Knife 12"
non metal: Sade - Diamond Life (That was the album I was actually looking for.) Patrick Gleeson - Beyond The Sun: An Electronic Portrait of Holst's The Planets | |

| How I wish we still had a decent music shop close by and even when there was such a thing we still didn't have a decent one but what we had was nice. | |
